Golden Diner

I’ve definitely talked about the Golden Diner lots in the last few months. Absolutely worth a day trip just for the pancakes alone. Get up and out pretty early to beat the morning rush lined up outside the quaint dive. We only tried a few things on the menu including the pancakes, matcha crumb cake, and scallion bun egg sandwich. I’ve heard wonderous things about the katsu club so get that when you go!

If pancakes crossed with a biscuit you would get these golden diner fluffy puffs. The pancake is made in a cast iron pan and (finished in the salamander?). Lots of honey butter to pour over top. Just let it all get sopped up in the giant sponge of the pancake.

The matcha crumb cake gives brownie vibes which I was pleasantly surprised by. And, of course you can do no wrong with an egg sammie on a scallion bun.
