Big Night Is THE place

NYC

If I ever had a storefront of my own it would probably look like Big Night. I am obsessed with their vintage glassware finds, cookbook collection, and all of the chili oils and tinned fish (even though I don’t eat) you can find. It’s a mecca for a culinary professional or the amateur home cook. The store is fairly small but the nooks and crannies lead you to the next coolest doorway. And, there’s a clearance section! I always gotta shop it.

THE TAKEAWAY

  • Oninio Chili Crisp: Chili oil is my favorite condiment so I wanted to splurge a little and try a new variety. We scooped through it in a matter of a couple months. And it tasted great on pizza! It’s a combintation of chili crisp and Mexican style salsa matcha. If you like crunchy nuts and smokey oil then this is a good one for you.

  • St Agrestis: I am a mocktail gal so trying whatever exciting products pop up on the market- I’m there! St. agrestis ia all about the Italian inspired cocktail or apertif; amaro falso, phony negroni, phony mezcal negreoni. All of which I’ve included in my Ciao Boxes! I wanted to try the phony negroni and enjoyed the sweet, citrus and botantical forwaard notes.
