I have been yearning to write for the last few days, but can't seem to find the moment to slip away to my thoughts, quietly. While adventure takes place during my week of work and the wheels in my head are spinning too fast after the days end, it’s hard to step back and notice the little things. I like to think of cherries in this instance, not just because I have been ferociously eating them since they are now falling into the peak of their season, but also because like life they are both sweet and sour. Could it be cliche, yes but comparatively food always brightens the mood.
It's been shy of three months since I landed back on American soil- solo, followed by college graduation, and only a couple days to live the post grad life, until I jumped head first into working. I met, talked to, read up on, worked at, and worked with many people and have taken on various roles in the last couple months. Some moments have been incredibly sweet and exciting, new adventure awaits and crazy talented people to meet, but other experiences have been different to say the least.
Regardless of it all, it's important to love the moments you share with a significant other, best friend, or family member while feasting on the most sought after food or snacking on fruit at the height of its season over good conversation. While consuming my time working in the food world, I really love the opportunity to appreciate the meal someone else puts in front of me too, especially when you take time to separate it from work and life.
